Here’s how it works:

You only need a 2% deposit
The government guarantees the other 18%
You skip Lenders Mortgage Insurance (which can cost thousands)
It’s available even if you’ve owned property in the past
You must be living in the home you’re buying

Who’s eligible?

To apply, you’ll need to meet these criteria:

Be a single parent or legal guardian with at least one dependent
Be applying as an individual (not a couple)
Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
Be 18 or older
Earn $125,000 or less per year
Plan to live in the home
Not own any other property at the time of purchase

You don’t need to be a first-home buyer — just make sure you’re not a current property owner.

Only 5,000 spots are available each year — so don’t wait too long!
